2. What data we process
- (a)Account data: email address, sign-in method (email/password, Google, Apple); when you sign in with Apple or Google, also the name the service provides — we only use it to suggest your first name as your display name, which you can change.
- (b)Profile data: display name, date of birth, photos, characteristics (e.g. gender, height, weight, languages, search intentions) and desired-partner preferences, optionally a short description.
- (c)Location data: your current position (GPS), converted into an approximate grid position, and your search radius. Optionally a home address to protect your place of residence — this is visible only to you and is used to obfuscate your position near your home.
- (d)Connection data: nudges, matches, chat messages, blocks and reports.
- (e)Technical data: your device's push token (for notifications), preferred app language, timestamps.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- (a)Providing the App and facilitating contacts in your area — performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- (b)Push notifications about encounters, nudges and matches — performance of the contract; can be disabled in the system settings.
- (c)Handling reports, blocks and abuse prevention — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in a safe platform.
- (d)Location processing takes place only with your consent via your device's location permission (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can revoke it at any time in the system settings.
4. Visibility to other users
Other users see the following about you: display name, photos, age group, characteristics, approximate position (only if you match each other according to the mutual criteria) and the degree of compatibility. Your exact date of birth, your email address and your home address are not visible to others.
5. Processors and third-country transfers
We use Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) for authentication, database (Cloud Firestore, Europe region), Cloud Functions (Europe region), file storage and push messages (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Data may be transferred to the USA in the process; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and standard contractual clauses additionally apply. Google Maps is used for the map display.
6. Storage period and deletion
Your data remains stored for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account in the App ("My profile → Delete account permanently"), your profile, photos, location data, nudges, matches and chats are permanently deleted. Reports that others have submitted about you or that you have submitted about others are retained in pseudonymised form (without real names) for abuse prevention. If an account has been suspended for violating the Terms and Conditions, it cannot be deleted in the App; support (support@appfor2.com) deletes it on request once the review has been completed. Until then, we retain the content concerned to the extent necessary to investigate the report or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (Art. 17(3)(e), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
8. Necessity of the information
The profile and location information is required for the App's core function (matching in your area). Without it, the App cannot be used.
